I am an Occupational Therapist and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HPCP) and pre-accredited with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists. I have over 13 years experience working within a wide range of mental health settings within NHS and private hospitals. My extensive experience over this time reflects my commitment and passion to help those experiencing challenging mental health difficulties.
My areas of interest and expertise include; depression, anxiety, panic disorder, social phobia, and eating disorders. My approach encompasses a wide range of CBT based techniques including Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). My in-depth training and experience using these techniques enables successful change for adults and adolescents, empowering the individual to ultimately become their own ‘therapist’, with skills to confidently navigate life’s challenges.
At the heart of my approach is the therapeutic relationship developed within my practice. I believe this is one of the most important vehicles of change and establish this through trust, understanding, collaboration and sometimes a little bit of fun!
I conduct thorough assessments to understand an individual’s challenges and goals, together creating a formulation to inform further treatment sessions. I work in accordance with the NICE guidelines which notes CBT as an effective evidence-based treatment for many mental health disorders, including my areas of interest. I ensure a high standards of care by adhering to guidelines directed by governing bodies, frequent 1:1 and group supervision of my practice and client led evaluation of my work.
I have a true passion for helping adults and adolescents, helping them to become aware of their own mental health traps, enabling tangible change and increasing emotional resilience.

“Anna is a wonderful therapist and has helped my son tremendously! She is compassionate, empathetic and very caring. She is amazing in that she listens and offers valuable suggestions ! Can’t say enough good things about her! A huge blessing to our family.”
“Anna is empathetic, kind and knowledgeable. She has a great ability to listen and then process that information to give intuitive advice or understanding of a situation. I feel that Anna has always tried to deeply understand how to work best with my particular needs and issues and is always well prepared for our sessions. I am so grateful that she is my therapist. I highly recommend her.”
“Anna thank you for helping me through my toughest experience to date. You provided a safe and confidential space that allowed me to talk freely and you interacted with me with genuine warmth and care. I recently faced some really challenging situations and because of your CBT sessions I was able to be calm, set boundaries and be more assertive. I am really pleased that i found you and so thankful to you for listening and helping me through my journey.”
“I thought you would like to hear about how well ‘A’ is doing after your years of commitment to helping him - there’s no doubt in my mind that your expertise was the most significant element that has pulled him through (and certainly kept me going!). You were so fantastic in your advice to me Anna.”
“When we were struggling to find therapy for our daughter who was relatable, available and flexible we found Anna. She has been amazing over lockdown meeting on Skype and now in person. She listens and supports with ideas and techniques that our daughter can put into practice when her low mood overcomes her. She also provides practical support to us as parents which is invaluable.”
